-- .
to contact people before the meeting anu let them
know how you feel. We have to make every effort
to let the current property owners preserve their
homes. I think we should have an authority as the
last result. I also think we shouldn't have
tolling. I think Jefferson County has been
dragging their feet. I hope that we can be as
supportive as possible because we have to come to
some type of compromise to get the best
transportation system built.
Walt Wood, Rt 2 Box 662, Broomfield, Colorado
Wood: I am glad to see the Council recognize the fact
that the City of Boulder and Boulder County are
trying to shove something through without anyone
concerns whatsoever. I do appreciate the remarks
by the Council about the residents who are
presently in the parkway road.
Rocky Haight, 10925 Dillon Road
Haight: If you think you people have been ignored you
should be a homeowner on Dillon Road when you talk
to the County Commissioners. They will not talk
to us about changing the route. There are other
routes that they could use. I can't see why the
County is being so greedy when they are picking up
about 9000 acres of open space. They forget that
farm land is open space also.
Paula Newmann, 10935 Dillon Road
Newmann: I want to thank you for your concerns about
homeowners on Dillon Road. I want to urge you to
get touch at the next meeting. Boulder does not
care about Louisville or the people on Dillon
Road. Boulder County commissioners told us that
they didn't want to run the road through the Rock
Creek Farm because of the burrowing owls. I would
like you to include in your motion something about
saving all the homeowners on Dillon Road.
Art Newmann, 10935 Dillon Road
Newmann: I have farmed that ground west of the prairie farm
and I have worked out there day and night and have
seen about 15 or 20 coyotes, 5000 prairie dogs, 20
snakes. I really hate to see myself and my
neighbors put out because of coyotes, snakes and
prairie dogs. If we use common sense maybe we can
get this alignment where we want it and where it
should be. I think the open space is a shoe in
vote for the next election for the County
Commissioners. I feel that maybe we can stop
9
