-.,.
in general. And no where in general do I see that
we talked about that. Although we can say we
won't have a good operating water plant without
that, our current water plant doesn't have that.
You can't build a water plant without it, I just
want to make sure that since we know that's one
of the problems we have with our current plant,
that we don't repeat that mistake.
Phare: I consider that covered under E, chemical addition
systems and related mechanical equipment.
Davidson: with the design approach, for instance I notice on
several pages, we talk about relocating the commu-
nity ditch and acquiring additional land. Is the
approach that RMC is proposing would that require
relocating the community ditch and acquiring
additional land?
Mark Klee, Rocky Mountain Consultants
Klee: When we did the preliminary study last summer, we
presented various options, so to speak as far as
sight planning. That sight planning was defined
to accommodate a marriot of advanced unit
processes that may or may not come to pass,
essential everything under the sun was taken into
account in that preliminary study that identified
the potential for additional land procurement if
the facility were in fact to go to that scale at
some point and time. In the preliminary design
phase we will readdress that issue, fine tune
those elements that are identified as ultimately
being required and that may in fact modify the
land requirements and possibly relocate the
community ditch. If not entirely delete it, maybe
defer it to some other phase of the project in the
future.
Davidson: So at this point we're not sure as to whether we
will have to relocate the community ditch and
acquire additional land. It depends on some
future variables to the design process.
Klee: It is not cast in concrete.
Howard: This is a contract to do both preliminary design
and start construction isn't it?
Phare: Bid awards for all projects will come back to you
as bids are accepted, both bid taking and award
has to go through Council. There will be obvious
check points in addition to financing. Before we
take bids on the plant, we will come and ask bid
that goes back to Council.
18
