..11
I would also like to announce to the Council that
the homeowners along 96th and Dillon Road have
formed an organization called the Northwest
Parkway Homeowners Association and we feel as a
group we would have more of an impact of
protecting the homes along 96th street, Dillon
Road and Maple Grove.
Jim Schreider, 1716 S. 96th.
Schreider: This proposed parkway of course is now being
addressed as the W-470 alternative. I have known
all along that the interested parties have been
trying to give us a highway that is similar to W-
470 that was voted down. You have all heard my
argument about why this highway shouldn't be
built. This is not a direct route to the airport
but a developers dream. Why don't you form a plan
putting this road where it should be and leaving
Dillon Road and 96th alone. I can show you a lot
of right-of-ways along 96th you already have for
60-foot wide roads, if you would agree to not go
along with this W-470 alternative.
Mayor Fauson closed the public hearing.
Hornbostel moved that the City Council approve the
Intergovernmental Agreement, Northwest Parkway (Boulder County
Area) Comprehensive Development Plan (Revised 4/15/91), which was
delivered to the City of Louisville on April 16, 1991, and
authorize the Mayor to execute the Agreement on behalf of the
City of Louisville, sUbject to the conditions set forth in the
memorandum from the City Attorney to the City Council dated April
16, 1991 along with the following additions: 1) paragraph one
would be revised to state that the agreement is to be executed by
the City of Broomfield, City of Lafayette and Boulder County.
strike the words "and the City of Boulder". The next sentence
would read, "the Town of Superior", you would insert and "City of
Boulder", mayor may not execute the agreement. The Mayor of
Louisville may execute the agreement on behalf of the City of
Louisville even if the Town of Superior, then insert the words
"and/ or the City of Boulder", choose not to execute the
agreement. The Mayor mayor may not execute the agreement if it
will not be executed by the other entities named above. There
were no changes to items 2, 3 , 4 and 5. There would a new
number 6 which addresses the Rock Creek Farm area and it would be
phrased as follows: on page 22 of the agreement on the third line
from the bottom of the page, correct the spelling of Rock, and
after the word Creek strike Farm. The 7th condition would be
that the items listed under the title Louisville Dillon/Road in
attachment two of Exhibit B and appearing on pages 21 and 22 of
the agreement are to be moved to the attachment one of Exhibit B
to the extent that they do not already appear in attachment one
of Exhibit B, seconded by Sackett. By Roll Call Vote Motion
passed 5-2 with Mayor Fauson and Davidson voting no.
9
