Jackson: In the organization that I represent a lot of people are trying to establish offices in places of business throughout the state. with a law like this you will prevent someone who has a lot of experience and a lot of expertise from moving into your fine City and establishing a clientele that would be beneficial to the citizens of Louisville. SZYmanski: I am not against what you are doing, I am against having it in a private home. Jackson: Is there anyway or suggestions on how we can get around your uncomfortable feeling? SZYmanski: The uncomfortable feeling is mine and it is my opinion that you should have one place, a parlor as you call it. I cannot see it in a residential area at all. Mayor Fauson closed the public hearing. Carnival moved to adopt Ordinance No. 1048, Revised Home Occupation Regulations, seconded by Sackett. Roll call was taken on the motion. Motion passed 5-1. Szymanski voting no. Sackett addressed Councilwoman Szymanski regarding her vote. Sackett explained that voting yes would prohibit massage parlors from being allowed as home occupations and based on SZYmanski's earlier discussion felt that was what she had indicated she wanted. Mayor Fauson requested that the records show that Councilwoman Szymanski changed vote to yes on Ordinance No. 1048. Motion passed 6-0.
