Status: County purchased the 127 acre Keyes property in June 1999, containing -1 mile of <br />St. Vrain Creek between N. 119th St. and East County Line Rd. Other opportunities will be <br />pursued as they become available. Longmont and the County jointly purchased the Golden <br />Farm property (99 acres) on both sides of St. Vrain Creek and N. 119 St. in 2003. <br />Boulder County hired ERO Resources and Mundus Bishop Design, local consulting firms, <br />to develop a trail master plan from Longmont to the town of Lyons. The master plan was <br />approved in January of 2004 and identifies the most viable short and long term trail <br />alignments that will create a safe, high quality 'recreational trail while minimizing impacts to <br />sensitive environmental resources along the corridor. Boulder County will continue to work <br />with private landowners to obtain easement necessary for completion of this trail. <br />2. Black Tail Prairie Dog Habitat. Important for prairie dog relocation purposes. <br />Status: The County is willing to consider proposal from Longmont. <br />3. . Lands west of and around MacIntosh Lake, including land currently occupied by the Cockleburr <br />Country Club. <br />Status: The County is purchasing the Dirks property (37 acres) on the north side of <br />McIntosh Lake south of Hwv 66 in 2004. <br />4. Western buffer along 75 Street. Important as additional community buffer between Hygiene and <br />Longmont. This area will be evaluated through the city's Comprehensive Plan. <br />Status: The County and City of Boulder purchased the Suitts property (southwest corner of <br />75 and Nelson Road). The County will pursue opportunities as they become available, and <br />is willing to consider joint purchases. <br />LOUISVILLE (200,1) <br />A. Open Space requests: <br />1. North of South Boulder Road and Highway 42: if any of this land becomes available to <br />purchase for open space the City would be interested in sharing the cost with the County. <br />This is the last large land area in Louisville, subject to high density development, including <br />commercial, retail, and residential under a planned community zone district (contract zoning) <br />that may be hard to change without an outright purchase by the City /County. <br />Status: Will pursue as opportunities become available. <br />2. Mayhoffer Property: 195 acres at St. HWY 42 and Pine St. and 160 acres in Section 15 (the <br />north west quarter of the property). <br />Status: The County purchased the 154 -acre Mayhoffer property located in Section 15 <br />south of Highway 42 in 2001. Louisville purchased a one - quarter interest in this <br />property in 2003, and Lafayette will purchase a one - quarter interest when they receive <br />their NW Pkwy IGA payments in 2008. The County continues to pursue the <br />preservation of the other. 195 -acre Mayhoffer property, but nothing is happening at this <br />time. <br />3. Schreiter Property: would provide urban separator between Louisville and Broomfield. <br />Pursue vacant parcels I the south sub -area comprehensive plan in accordance with the <br />Northwest Parkway Comprehensive Plan IGA, potential for 240 acres. <br />Status: Will pursue as opportunities become available. <br />Page 5 <br />
