2.1 ACTIONS REQUESTED: <br />The GCAB is asking the City Council to: <br />1.review and concur with the issue ownership designations, <br />2.review and concur with the items in bucket one (bucket 2-5 will be addressed <br />once we get bucket one activities underway), <br />3.agree to fund those items in bucket one that are designated as City of Louisville <br />ownership, <br />4.direct City staff to facilitate the rapid resolution, implementation and funding of <br />City owned issues and jointly owned issues with WGP coordinating with GCAB, <br />5.direct GCAB to develop and coordinate a volunteer program under the auspices of <br />the City of Louisville and produce a plan supported and concurred with by staff & <br />WGP to begin to address those items that can reasonably be done by volunteers, <br />6.request Western Golf Properties to respond to City Staff (Director of Parks & <br />Recreation) and GCAB on items in bucket one that have WGP designated as the <br />owner, <br />7.request WGP to provide GCAB with a project plan within a reasonable time (one <br />month) outlining their proposed schedule to address each of these issues in bucket <br />one that are designated as WGP ownership, <br />8.direct the GCAB to track, monitor and report to City Council, City staff & WGP <br />via a monthly email status report each item in bucket one, <br />9.direct GCAB to proceed with reviewing and prioritizing bucket two items and <br />prepare a similar briefing to City Council for June 2011. <br />3.0 GCAB responsibility <br />The GCAB was formed by City Council resolution number 15 series 2010 on April 4, <br />2010 and the first meeting was held in June. The Board was commissioned among many <br />other things to develop a strategic plan thru doing best of breed analysis, gathering input <br />from golfers and other citizens. <br />4.0 Process utilized to gather requirements <br />The GCAB has been meeting monthly on the third Monday of each month (except <br />December) with participation from Western Golf Properties – WGP (CCGC management <br />Company) and City Director of Parks & Recreation. The meetings discuss current <br />actions, plans and issues. During the creation of the GCAB and in subsequent months <br />several high profile issues have been identified and discussed which have formed the <br />basis for many of the strategic items that you will see further in this document. On <br />December 10, 2010 the GCAB sent an email to all stakeholders requesting input on <br />strategic requirements.
