LAFAYETTE/LOUISVILLEBUFFER <br />COMPREHENSIVEDEVELOPMENTPLAN <br />INTERGOVERNMENTALAGREEMENT <br />(2014EXTENSION) <br />This Intergovernmental Agreement (“Agreement”or “2014 Extension”)by, betweenand among the <br />City of Lafayette, a Colorado home rule municipal corporation (“Lafayette”); the City of Louisville, <br />a Colorado home rule municipal corporation (“Louisville”); and the County of Boulder, a body <br />politic and corporate of the State of Colorado (“BoulderCounty”)(each a “Party, and, collectively, <br />the"Parties")ismade tobeeffectiveas of the date when all parties have signed the agreement. <br />WITNESSETH: <br />WHEREAS, the Parties entered into the Lafayette/Louisville Buffer Comprehensive <br />th <br />Development Plan Intergovernmental Agreement(“Original Agreement”), effective the 9of July, <br />1996; and <br />WHEREAS, theOriginal Agreement was amended through the First Amendment to <br />Lafayette/LouisvilleBuffer Comprehensive Development Plan Intergovernmental Agreement, <br />effective February1997,and again inJuly1999,through the Second Amendment to <br />Lafayette/Louisville Buffer Comprehensive Development Plan Intergovernmental Agreement(the <br />“First and Second Amendments”); and <br />WHEREAS, unless extended, the Original Agreement would expire by its terms on July 9, <br />2016; and <br />WHEREAS, the Parties desire to extend and amend the Original Agreement, as it has been <br />amendedby the First and Second Amendments,untilJuly 9, 2036; and <br />WHEREAS, the Parties desire in this Agreementto accountfor changes to the status of <br />certainparcels subject to the Original Agreement, as amended;to update the termsof the Parties’ <br />agreement;andto update the Map portion of the Agreementaccordingly; and <br />WHEREAS, in order to clarify in a single document the terms of the Parties’ agreement, the <br />Parties desire tosupersede and replaceall prior agreements, consisting of the Original Agreement <br />and the First and Second Amendments,with this 2014 Extensionand encompassherein the entirety <br />of the Parties’ agreement; and <br />WHEREAS,§29-20-101etseq., C.R.S. asamended,enablesthePartiestoenterinto <br />IntergovernmentalAgreementstoplanfor <br />andregulatelanduses,inordertominimizethe <br />1 <br /> <br />
